A covered patio in July is still brutal when the afternoon sun rakes in sideways. Outdoor shades fix that. Drop a solar screen down the open side and you knock the temperature down, kill the glare on the TV, and get the porch back from June through September.

Solar screens and roll-downs

Most patios want a roll-down solar shade in an exterior-grade fabric, sized to the opening and weighted to hang straight. Run them manually with a crank or motorize them so they drop at the press of a button. We mount the tracks into solid framing so a gust doesn't turn the shade into a sail.

Awnings for shade that stays put

Where you want permanent cover over a window, a door, or a stretch of patio, a fixed or retractable awning throws shade exactly where the sun lands. Retractables pull back when you want the open sky and extend when the heat builds.

Where we install

Our showroom is on McCullough Ave in San Antonio, and we cover the Hill Country around it. We've shaded patios from Stone Oak and the Dominion to Bulverde, Boerne, and the lake. If you're near San Antonio, we can shade your outdoor space.
